About the CCNA and CCENT Certification (ICND1 and ICND2)
CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN.
The new CCNA certification curriculum from Cisco includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and focuses on real-world performance based skills. CCNA certification features (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANs, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).
NetCom's CCNA Certification course prepares students for all required CCNA certification exams. The CCNA Certification course also includes CCENT certification prep.

Why You Should Take the CCNA and CCENT Certification (ICND1 and ICND2)
Benefits of Certification
For IT professionals, certification is a third party validation of your skills, that helps distinguish you from your peers. Beyond demonstrating a level of competency and proficiency, certification proves that you are committed to your cause and that you've invested the time and money to prove it. Holding a certification also makes you a more valuable employee, and often results in raises, promotions, and a better career.
For organizations, certifications identify the credentials that can be used to hire the right employee. Having certified employees also increases sales for the organization by proving to prospective clients that the organization has the skills to support its claims.

Our instructor had a vast knowledge of the subject matter, and was able to convey the material to our class in a highly effective way. He had good pacing, a clear voice (that was easy to understand despite his Canadian accent) and spoke to the level of the class. Even though we covered a lot of material. He kept it interesting, and spaced out breaks so that we didn't get tired or feel overwhelmed.
