About the CCNA, CCENT (ICND1, ICND2) and CCDA (DESGN) - Boot Camp
This is a 7 day boot camp aimed towards IT professionals seeking to get their CCNA and CCDA certifications.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Boot Camp is a thorough five day program taught by the industry's leading and most exceptional CCIE level instructors. Prospective CCNA and CCENT students should have a background and apprentice familiarity in networking knowledge. Accredited CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small scale networks including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, access lists.
The CCDA certification (Cisco Certified Design Associate) indicates a foundation or apprentice knowledge of network design for the Cisco Internetwork Infrastructure. CCDA certified professionals can design routed and switched network infrastructures involving LAN, WAN, and dial access services for businesses and organizations.
This training combines and covers materials from the following courses:
Describe how networks function, identifying major components, function of network components, and the OSI reference model
Describe issues related to increasing traffic on an Ethernet LAN and expand the switched network from a small LAN to a medium-sized LAN with multiple switches supporting VLANs, trunking, and spanning tree
Describe the reasons for extending the reach of a LAN and the methods that can be used,with a focus on RF wireless access
Describe the reasons for connecting networks and connecting multiple IP subnets with routers
Configure and verify a Cisco router for WAN connections with HDLC and PPPencapsulation, PAT, static routing, and describe the components that make up a VPN solution
Use the command-line interface to discover neighbors on the network and manage the router startup and configuration Describe routing concepts as they apply to a medium-sized network, discuss dynamic routing with distance vector and link-state routing protocols, and configure RIP
Configure, verify, and troubleshoot single-area OSPF
Configure, verify, and troubleshoot EIGRP
Determine how to apply ACLs based on network requirements, and to configure, verify,and troubleshoot ACLs
Describe when to use NAT and PAT on a medium-sized network, how to configure NAT and PAT, and explain IPv6 addressing and configuration on a Cisco router

Skills Assessment -- The only boot camp that makes sure all the students have the correct prerequisites.
Seven days of complete immersion and distraction-free training -- Includes 84 hours of lectures, hands on labs, topic reviews, test preparation and testing.
Testing at Training Site -- Convenience is the key. You don't have to find and schedule your test with an authorized testing center. NetCom is an authorized testing center and you can take the test as soon as you are ready. This feature may not be available at all locations. Instructor was fast, but savvy; very in touch with class (when to speed up or slow down, or stop for an individual) never lost a student and never lost the pace very good at a very hard skill.
The boot camp training was intense and covered the books well. Labs were prepared and done. The instructor was very knowledgeable and assisted class with questions and instruction explained and demonstrated concepts to ensure understanding.
I would recommend NetCom Learning because the training is first class. The material is explained thoroughly with real world scenarios as well. The instructors are currently in the field so they are speaking from current experience.
If you are not able to attain all certifications during the bootcamp, you can attend the bootcamp again within a period of one year, if it is still being offered and has availability. To attend, simply retain your course materials. You will need to pay for test vouchers and optional travel. If the courseware has changed, you must purchase the latest material. CAP would not apply if the class you want to reattend is for a different certification.
