Why You Should Take the MOS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2010) - Boot Camp
Benefits of Certification
For IT professionals, certification is a third party validation of your skills, that helps distinguish you from your peers. Beyond demonstrating a level of competency and proficiency, certification proves that you are committed to your cause and that you've invested the time and money to prove it. Holding a certification also makes you a more valuable employee, and often results in raises, promotions, and a better career.
For organizations, certifications identify the credentials that can be used to hire the right employee. Having certified employees also increases sales for the organization by proving to prospective clients that the organization has the skills to support its claims.

I would recommend NetCom because I thought that the instructors were knowledgeable and patient. I liked that the instructors asked the class for real examples of their work. I liked that the classes were small.
I would recommend NetCom because of the care they take in making certain you learn. The class size was nice and we were able to receive individualized attention thereby promoting deeper absorption of the materials. The place is neat, clean and friendly. They were very hospitable to the students as well.
Friendly and fun learning environment. Beneficial classes from beginners to advanced knowledge mixture. Easy to learn! The support and troubleshooting was fantastic.
I would absolutely recommend NetCom to a friend. Both Robert and Octavia are wonderful, and the instructors are a class act.
Octavia is a true gem of a person. NetCom is very fortunate to have her as the "front house" person. She is extremely kind, professional, patient, and efficient. And Robert took a great deal of time with me when I first inquired about classes; he explained the different types of classes, and he went over the curriculum in an in-depth manner.

Hearst Magazines is a unit of Hearst Corporation (www.hearst.com), and one of the world's largest publishers of monthly magazines, with a total of 18 U.S. titles and 145 international editions. Hearst reaches more adults than any other publisher of monthly magazines (76.3 million according to MRI, spring 2005). The company also publishes 19 magazines in the United Kingdom through its wholly owned subsidiary, The National Magazine Company Limited.
Business Needs:
Heart Corporation is involved in one of the fastest moving industries in the world. The organization needs to be able to respond quickly and accurately to business needs. The company has been utilizing Office 2003 and Windows XP on a network basis for their employees for many years. It has become necessary to upgrade their networked software solutions to take advantage of the increased network capabilities and faster speeds of both Office 2010 and Windows 7. Updating the software to current software releases will provide employees and the Hearst IT department with improved resources to do their jobs. This will result in company wide work efficiencies. Hearst Corporation needed in-house training to affect the software migration, training that would meet the needs of all levels of the organization. Management requested that the training materials be tailored to how the software would be used in house. NetCom Learning proposed a customized solution to meet customer needs.
Solution:
Using coursework from the NetCom Office 2010 Class and the Windows 7 class, NetCom Learning created a combined customized solution for the Hearst Corporation including the preparation of custom written training materials. The training was provided over a six month period. The creation of the customized training package involved an on-site needs assessment. Training involved the entire company and was delivered department by department. Hands on training sessions were offered for both Office 2010 and Windows 7. One-on-one training sessions were provided to meet the specific management requirements. The training sessions were completed in six months and involved over 1000 Hearst employees.
The training provided by NetCom Learnings instructors allowed Hearst Corporation to migrate to the updated Windows 7 and Office 2010 software with a minimum of disruption. The six month training sessions allowed employees at all levels the hands on training they needed to feel comfortable with the new software. The company reports that staff is using the full capabilities of the software including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and the network and communication capabilities in Windows 7. Hearst Corporation has noted work efficiencies across the board since the successful migration to the new software.

NetCom Learning trains American multinational banking corporation and provider of financial services
Published On: 4 October 2012
Customer: Anonymous Client
Location: New York, NY, US
Business Needs:
In the fast paced world of investment banking and financial services, it is essential that all employees be up to speed on the software used in the business as quickly as possible. This applies to current employees, new hires and interns. The client requires employee training on a wide scale to quickly improve current employee skill levels, and bring new hires and interns to the required competency level in technical applications and installed office software including Microsoft Office 2007.
Solution:
A customized training solution was developed to meet the educational needs of current employees, new hires and interns. NetCom Learning devised customized learning solution for the client involving several trainers and offsite training sessions in New York and Delaware. With Microsoft Corporations support, NetCom Learning provided offsite training in Microsoft Headquarters in New York.
The major benefit to the client was in terms of cost savings in employee time. The advanced training in Microsoft Office 2007 applications, allowed all employees involved in the training to acquire advanced skills allowing them to save an hour or more each day in their daily business tasks. This time savings per employee resulted in a quantified savings of 20 hours a month that employees were able to move on to other tasks in a time efficient manner, accomplishing more work in the same time frame. This translates to a total of 4000 hours of saved time which can be used for new projects. In a monetary approach this could look like two years of wages, saving the company approximately one half million each month.
