  Apr 14 2009 I had a great experience at NetCom's Zend PHP training at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. I found you through the internet, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Was this organization legitimate or just another fly-by-night? My experience speaks for itself. I was extremely pleased with the value of the training and the way it will help our organization grow. Class size was good. Our instructor was terrific. She carefully explained the concepts of PHP so we beginners could understand and follow along. After teaching the ideas we needed to know, she would assign us progressively more difficult projects that forced us to think through and use what we'd been learning. Never having done any programming before class started Monday, by Thursday afternoon I was able to apply what we' been learning to write, with confidence and solid understanding, my first completely independent lines of code! {The Instructor] added extra levels of difficulty to the projects for the more advanced students in the class, ensuring they would expand their understanding and abilities as well. Apart from class, the meals were excellent and the accommodations comfortable. Having the rooms and training all in the same facility was a great way to go. You were very helpful with the registration process. I appreciated your patience, recommendations and responsiveness as I was trying to understand what courses would be appropriate for me, and with answering my questions before and after registration. Rinchen was a pleasure to work with too, both in arranging my travel and during our interactions in Vegas. Our budget is tight for any immediate training, and I need to start practicing and applying all the great stuff I've learned before taking another class. But my future interests will be with more PHP, probably some SQL, ActionScript 3 and other Adobe-related product training. I've recommended to my supervisor that we look to NetCom first for any future training needs we have. I'll definitely point any of my friends who need to expand or update their skills your way too.   Jun 17 2008 The course covered a significant amount of material and the test was quite difficult, but Therese is an outstanding teacher. There is no way I could have passed it without her expert instruction. The experience levels and intention of students --whether they were there to just learn PHP or whether they were seasoned programmers and were seeking Zend certification-- differed significantly. I am not sure it is reasonable to expect to be able to cover the aims of both types of students in one one-week course. Therese did manage this very, very well, but it is not an optimal situation. Therese illustrates all points clearly, gives pertinent real-world examples, and makes certain that everyone, no matter their level, is with her before she moves on. She blended practical exercises and instruction well in order to reinforce the material and cover several complex topics at once. The food was great, everyone was very pleasant.   Gregory Haywood Nov 16 2005 My impression is that the class instructor was very professional and knowledgeable. The class covered the areas we asked for. The one lesson for us is that combining your two 3-day classes into one 5-day class was probably a bit too aggressive for some of the people in the class.
