The Cisco CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) certification validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions, the starting point for many successful careers in networking. Candidates should have the knowledge and skill to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. CCENT certification is the first step toward achieving CCNA, which covers medium size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.
To become a CCENT, students must take 640-822 ICND1: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 OR 640-816 ICND2: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 Exam
CCENT Exam Type: Computer based, Multiple choice, multiple answer, drag and drop, Testlet, Simlet, and Router Simulations CCENT Test Duration: 75-90 minutes each for 640-822 ICND1, 640-816 ICND2 CCENT Exam Length: 40-60 Questions for each exam CCENT Exam Cost: $125 USD each for 640-822 ICND1 and 640-816 ICND2 CCENT Passing Score: 849 out of 1000 for 640-822 ICND1 and 85% for 640-816 ICND2
