NetCom Wins EC-Council Circle of Excellence Award for Second Straight Year

New York, NY - September 24, 2010 - EC-Council, a leading international certification body in the field of information security, announced this month that NetCom Information Technology won its Circle of Excellence Award for 2010, making this the second straight year NetCom has earned this distinction.

The Circle of Excellence is awarded to the EC-Council Accredited Training Centers that deliver the highest quality training and certification programs. EC-Council makes this determination from numerous factors including certification test pass-rates, number of exams passed, and student feedback.

"NetCom is honored to be recognized for delivering top-quality training and certification solutions, and we are happy to be working with an industry leader and innovator like EC-Council." said Russell Sarder, NetCom Chairman and CEO.

EC-Council certification courses offered at NetCom include:

  • CEH: Certified Ethical Hacking Boot Camp [5 days]
The CEH program certifies individuals in the specific network security discipline of Ethical Hacking from a vendor-neutral perspective. A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) helps an organization take preemptive measures against malicious attacks by attacking the system himself; all the while staying within legal limits. This philosophy stems from the proven practice of trying to catch a thief, by thinking like a thief.

  • CEH and CHFI Certification Combo [7 days]
This intensive training package prepares students to earn the two most popular EC-Council Certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI). By obtaining EC-Council's CEH and CHFI certifications, an information security professional validates a deep knowledge of the tools and methods hackers use to penetrate systems and the skills to secure these systems from malicious attacks.

"NetCom has trained all branches of United States military as well as numerous DoD and law enforcement agencies in the information security best-practices laid out by EC-Council, and we are proud to have done our small part in securing the safety of Americans." said Titu Sarder, NetCom President and CO-CEO.

EC-Council will present NetCom with the Circle of Excellence award at the Hacker Halted USA 2010 conference, which will be held from Oct 13 - 15, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami, Florida. Hacker Halted is a complete information security conference, and the largest gathering of Certified Ethical Hackers in the world.
