NetCom partners with EC-Council in offering Ethical Hacking and other IT security related courses as well as an accredited training and testing center
New York, NY - October 14, 2004 -
New York, Oct 1, 2004: NetCom Information Technology, the technical training leader in New York, today announced that it has been partnered with International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) to become an Accredited Training & Testing Center for EC-Council. With this partnership, NetCom will be able to offer the EC-Councils range of courses in CEH, CHFI, CRM, etc to its customers from the public and private sectors.
"We are excited to partner with and offer EC-Councils courses to our clients. There is a huge pent up demand for IT security related courses in New York. Organizations and individuals are trying to learn how they can beef up their security positions against potential hackers and what better way than to think like one as covered in the CEH course and track the activities of computer abuse using techniques taught in the CHFI course." stated Mr. Sarder, CEO of NetCom.
"Organizations have come to realize that one of the best ways to evaluate the intruder threat to their interests would be to have independent computer security professionals attempt to break into their computer systems. This scheme is similar to having independent auditors come into an organization to verify its bookkeeping records," stated Daniel J. Guillermo, President of EC-Council. "In the case of computer security, these tiger teams or ethical hackers would employ the same tools and techniques as the intruders, but they would neither damage the target systems nor steal information. Instead, they would evaluate the target system security and report back to the owners with the vulnerabilities they found and instructions for how to remedy them."
