"The moment you think you know it all, you stop growing. Develop the passion for learning, be a lifelong learner. "
I am from Bangladesh, one of the poorest countries in the world, yet where all parents expect their children to excel in school. This is how the value of lifelong learning was instilled in me at a young age.
I arrived in the US with a couple of suitcases and some books. Life was tough for me. I often worked several jobs, but I never gave up learning. I attended college and then pursued my American dream of creating a business. My degree was not in business, and I didn't know how to start a business. I taught myself sales, management, accounting, marketing, and the rest. My goal is now that I have built a growing multimillion dollar business is to pass on my love of learning to others.
Part of the way we are doing this is through the creation of this learning movement so that people can learn from the experience of others who have created successful businesses, non-profit educational organizations, have become great educators, political leaders, or authors.
An integral part of our learning movement is a series of short videos where we ask people to share what has inspired them in their lives, what learning has means to them and why the concept of lifelong learning is so important to individuals and to the future of our world.
